Dairies offer farm stands and tours for the summer

Need to find a quick day trip that’s fun and flavorful? Visit a dairy farm this summer for an on-farm experience!

Visiting a dairy farm is a great way to learn more about how your food is produced. Many dairy farms are within a 30 to 60 minute drive from the city and offer farm stands where you can purchase fresh milk, cheese and other products from the farm. For many kids, it’s their first experience with agriculture – picking their own blueberries off the bush, seeing a cow being milked, or picking eggs out of the chicken coop.

Some of the dairy farms in Oregon also offer farm tours, creating a way to connect with farmers, who have a wealth of knowledge to share about the land and animals they work with. Always make sure tours are available at the farm before visiting.

Experience your food in a fresh, new way and visit one of these farm stands or agricultural tours near you!
